Order Organic, Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance CertifiedTM Coffee Beans: If you’re not grinding your own beans and brewing a fresh pot of coffee every morning (like we are) then you’re basically drinking gasoline—your body is going to treat it that way. Do yourself a favour and buy high-quality organic coffee from a store that you trust. The other thing to pay attention to is where it’s grown. Arabica beans (which are more caffeinated than Robusta) tend to grow at higher altitudes on mountainsides; Robustus generally like warmer regions near valleys. Try for something medium roasted rather than dark roasted if possible, which has less caffeine but still maintains its rich flavour.

Brew coffee in a blender – Since you’re making enough coffee for multiple servings, it makes sense to do all of your measurements and blending at once. The easiest way to do that is in a blender.
